All-Natural Deodorant Recipe

I use this deodorant every day and it will keep you smelling fresh all day!

INGREDIENTS:

homemade deodorant3 Tablespoons Raw Shea Butter (buy it here)

2 Tablespoons Unrefined, Virgin Coconut Oil (BUY IT HERE)

2 Tablespoons Grated Beeswax or Beeswax Pellets (Buy it here)

2 Tablespoons Baking Soda

2 Tablespoons Arrowroot (BUY IT HERE)

10 drops Ylang Ylang essential oi (BUY IT HERE)

6 drops sweet orange essential oil (BUY IT HERE)

OR essential oils of your choice

In a double boiler, melt the shea butter, Beeswax and coconut oil.  Stir in the baking soda and arrowroot until combined.  Remove from heat and mix in the essential oil.  Pour into a small glass jar or empty deodorant container (I use  THESE).  Allow to cool overnight or place in the freezer to speed solidification.

To apply: spread a small amount evenly over armpit until rubbed in and transparent.

*If you don’t have a double boiler, you may fill a small saucepan with an inch or two of water and bring it to a gentle boil.  Place a slightly larger bowl into the saucepan.

*Alternatively you could pour the final product into mini muffin tins.  Freeze for “pucks” of deodorant.
