Why Live Clean?

I’ve been seeing a post go around Facebook that says, “You can’t expect to look like a million bucks if you’re eating off the dollar menu.”  Much less, feel like a million bucks.  If you want to feel fantastic, you’ve got to invest a little in your health.

When I start talking about living clean, the first thing a lot of people say (or think) is, “Why does it matter?”

There are even the staunch nay-sayers who argue that “We’re all going to die some day, might as well enjoy it.”

Well, that is exactly what I’m doing!!

I want to enjoy my life!  I want to feel vibrant and alive!

When I take care of my body, when I give it the appropriate fuel it needs to function properly, I am able to live my best life!

The human body is an organic machine.  It requires natural fuel to function properly.  It’s simple science.  You cannot feed your body artificial, synthetic garbage and expect it to function at maximum capacity.  Nothing works that way.  Not our cars, not our businesses, not our relationship, not our bodies.

 

I don’t think a lot of people even know what it feels like to feel truly awesome.  I know I didn’t before I started down this road.

Our bodies are made up of trillions upon trillions of cells that work together synergistically to keep us alive and thriving.

Everything that we put into our bodies, onto our skin, and breath in from our environment will either drive our cells towards greater health and strength or toward sickness and weakness.

That’s why the choices we make for our bodies and our families are so important. Think of the choices you make in food, toiletries, cleaning products and almost every other product as either an investment or debt in your health.

Are you borrowing against your own health?

If you think the answer might be yes, it’s not too late to make changes now!  And it’s not as hard as you might think!

Studies have identified hundreds of different toxic chemicals found in the bloodstream of the average human body and even in newborns. From pesticides to flame retardants to heavy metals. Today we are exposed to more toxins than ever before. Not unrelated, there are more people suffering and dying from noncommunicable diseases like cancer, heart disease, diabetes and stroke than ever before.

Every day, we are exposed to toxins in the air we breathe, in the food we eat and that come in contact with our skin.  Most of them are completely invisible. They enter our bloodstream unbeknownst to us, slowly weakening our cells, impairing our organ function, depleting our health.  It often happens so gradually, so slowly that we’re not even aware of it. Most of these toxic chemicals haven’t been around long enough to really demonstrate the impact they have on human health.

Do you want to be the guinea pig for this colossal human experiment?

Although the human life span is exceeding previous projections, the quality of life in later stages is taking a big hit. Although people are living 11-12 years longer than expected, they are also, on average, consumed by illness or pain in the last 14 years of life.  But that is not a sealed fate.  It can be changed in the way that you take care of yourself now.

As we are learning more and more about genetics, we have discovered that having a gene for a certain disease or cancer doesn’t necessarily indicate that you will develop that disease or cancer.  The determining factor is whether or not that gene is activated.  What we know now is that how we live, our environment, our food and how we take care of our bodies influences whether or not those genes are activated or remain dormant.

So if you think the way you care for you body just doesn’t matter…..think again….

It may seem overwhelming to think about managing and avoiding all the toxins that you are exposed to on a daily basis, but that’s where I come in.  It’s simply a matter of learning a new language and I’m going to help you do it!

My goal is to simplify all the information out there and show you some simple ways that you can improve your health and invest in your longevity. I will show you not only which products to avoid, but how to choose the most nourishing products for you, your body and your family.

If you are afraid of how much more these changes are going to cost, don’t worry, there are many things you can do that will actually SAVE you money.  And whenever it comes to the quality of your consumer choices, think of it as insurance. The small investment you make today will avoid expensive health care costs later, not to mention avoiding pain and suffering.

Please remember, you don’t have to change everything all at once.  The most important key in your success in Clean Living is to not get overwhelmed.  Make changes that feel doable.  Long-time habits are hard to break.  If you make only one change today or this week, pat yourself on the back!  You’ve taken a step towards your own vibrant health!  Then next week or next month, maybe you’ll feel inspired to make another one!
